Making our community

Better Than Ever

The Meadowood Neighborhood Association is dedicated to providing social events and activities, neighborhood improvement projects, and a forum for discussion with fellow neighbors.

The Meadowood neighborhood was established in 1972 and is one of the largest residential communities in Aurora, Colorado with over 2,200 homes within the neighborhood. Our neighborhood association is not an HOA, but aims to make our community a better place through events, community impact projects and discussion forums.

EVENTS

Thank you to everyone participating in our new trash program.

Most initial issues have been resolved. Please note that we are a Neighborhood Association, not an HOA. Because Waste Management (WM) does not have a separate category for Neighborhood Associations, their customer service representatives may not be aware of our unique setup. Following the merger of HBS and Waste Management, WM honored our contract and automatically included over 200 current Meadowood households in the program. While participation remains optional, the Neighborhood Association will receive rebates once we reach 500 enrolled households.

As a reminder, the program details are as follows:

  – Monthly Charge: $20.98
  – Included Service: One 95-gallon trash bin, one 95-gallon recycle bin (picked up every other week), and up to 3 additional bags of debris per week.

For any service-related questions or requests, individual residents can contact WM Customer Service directly at (888) 496-8824 (no code needed). They can assist you with:

  – Trash or recycling misses
  – New service starts for new homes
  – Equipment and cart requests, swaps, or replacements
  – Bulky item removal
  – Damage claims or spills
  – Recycle calendar requests
  – Billing issues and customer service escalations
  – Commercial dumpsters linked to accounts
  – House count audits

Thank you again for all who are participating.

Testimonials

"As a long-time resident of Meadowood, I can honestly say that the Board members of our Neighborhood Association are some of the most dedicated, approachable, and passionate individuals I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. They work tirelessly to bring our community together, whether it’s organizing fun events or putting together the neighborhood newsletter. They always listen to residents and work hard to keep us informed and engaged. The sense of unity they’ve fostered here makes Meadowood feel like more than just a place to live – it’s a true home." – Sarah M., Meadowood Resident

As a parent in Meadowood, I can’t thank the Neighborhood Association Board enough for organizing the Meadowood Festival each year. It’s become a highlight for our family! The kids have an absolute blast with all the fun activities—bounce houses, games, face painting, and of course, the petting zoo! It’s always a huge hit. It’s amazing to see the community come together in such a joyful way, and the Board always ensures there's something for everyone. It’s clear they put so much effort into making this event special, and it truly shows. It’s an experience that makes Meadowood feel even more like a close-knit family." – Jason T., Meadowood Resident

"I can’t say enough about how great Dump Day is in Meadowood. As someone who was looking to get rid of a lot of old furniture, this event was a lifesaver. Not only was it incredibly affordable, but the entire process was so well organized. I was able to unload my car quickly with the help of friendly volunteers, making the whole experience hassle-free. It’s such a relief knowing that the Board has thought of everything—from the easy drop-off to the great support. It really shows how much they care about making our lives easier and keeping the neighborhood looking great." – Mark D., Meadowood Resident
